Our modern fleet of turbo prop powered floatplanes offers convenient access to vast and wild regions of Northern British Columbia and Northwest Territories, encompassing Nahanni National Park and numerous provincial parks and protected areas including the Muskwa-Kechika. Our recently added King Air 300 offers private charter flights to northern British Columbia from Vancouver.
Liard Air Ltd. was founded by Marianne and Urs in 1981 at Fort Liard, NWT. Offering flights connecting remote communities to Fort Nelson, Fort Simpson and other hubs, the company quickly became a success. Liard Air continues to operate most of it’s flights for tourism, fly in fishing, canoeist, glacier sightseeing and all types of outdoor enthusiasts.

DeHavilliand DHC-3T Otter
The de Havilland Canada DHC-3T Otter is a single-engine, high-wing, turboprop-powered, short take-off and landing (STOL) aircraft developed by de Havilland Canada. The Turbine Otters can carry 9 passengers or 2200 lbs of freight. The perfect fly in fishing floatplane, for guest convenience all seats are equipped with intercom allowing communication with the pilot and fellow passengers. Our Otter features panoramic bubble windows that provide unparalleled visibility during our scenic flights over the Northern Rockies and Nahanni National park.

Cessna 208 Caravan
The Cessna 208 Caravan is a single-engine turboprop, short-haul regional airliner and utility aircraft that is built in the United States by Cessna. Our Caravan is equipped with amphibious floats allowing it to operate on both water and land. It has an engine upgrade increasing power from the stock 675 horsepower to 867 horsepower. This enables it to perform take offs and landings with up to 6 passengers at high altitude fly in fishing lakes in Northern British Columbia.

The Super King Air 300 offers comfortable flights to northern British Columbia. This 9 passenger speed bird cruises at 312 knots, or 577 km/h at altitudes up to 35000 feet! We offer non stop flights to Northern BC, from Vancouver’s Pitt Meadows Regional Airport to Northern Rockies Regional Airport in Fort Nelson.

Cessna C-172 Skyhawk
The Cessna 172 Skyhawk is a four-seat, single-engine, high wing, fixed-wing aircraft. This airplane is ideal for scouting and sightseeing flights as well as economical overflights of Virginia Falls and Nahanni National park. To facilitate operation in our Mountainous terrain the airplane is equipped with a more powerful 180 HP engine.
